New year, new me, well actually I’m really happy with sticking with myself. But I do have some new goals I want to post on here (I know a bit late, like two weeks after 2019 actually started but it’s whatever 😊), on the one hand to maybe inspire somebody to set some (late 😉) resolutions for themselves, but I also hope making them public will help me achieve most of not all of them (putting just a tiny bit of pressure on me).
First goal which is so, so important to me is reading more books!!! I’m not at all happy with the number of books I read in 2018 and hope to increase it this year. I either didn’t had the time or honestly just didn’t wanted to after a long day of school.
Second goal I set myself is starting with Yoga. I want to get this into my weekly schedule because I think it will help me relax more. I’ve visited some Yoga lessons a couple of years ago, but I realised that I actually can’t relax and meditate when there are other people around. I feel too uncomfortable although the atmosphere is generally more relaxed than in any other sport classes. Now I will do Yoga alone with some YouTube videos to concentrate on myself fully.
Another goal of mine is to reduce the amount of waste, especially (disposable!) plastic, I’m producing even more!!!
In 2019 I really want to paint and draw more. I don’t do this hobby frequently enough what is really dumb of me because it’s so calming and relaxing. When I’m drawing, I forget everything, time, work, stress, I just focus on my picture and I’m able to ignore the real world for some time. So, I just start painting at least every other weekend to chill out and also get better at it.
I guess a goal which has kind of every person on this planet is to eat healthier and generally reduce all the bullshit food. In the last couple of months of 2018, I started a habit of which I’m not proud of, emotional eating, I started to almost compensate stress with this bullshit food and that just needs to stop. Therefore, I started tracking the things I eat or more precisely the calories which always helped me with making wiser choices when picking out what to eat. I hope I will be able to continue with that through out the most of this year.
I also want to be a lot more organized, in my mind, in my room (!!!) and in life generally. I have to say my room is messy like 80 percent of the time, but I still manage to stay on top of things. As soon as that is not the case, I always clean up, but I guess this year I need to do this more often.
And my last goal is to finally write a longer story, not necessarily a novel, but I usually write really short texts and mostly not even whole stories rather poetry slams about thoughts and feelings. So in 2019 I want to write something bigger and more story-like.
Puuhh, okay I have a lot of to do and achieve in this new year but nothing is impossible. Cheers to a new, fresh, clean start, to a happy and peaceful year for our whole world. I hope there will be positive changes for every single one of us and for our environment, our politics and our society!!!
